Welcome to the Steelrose Garden, a place to reach some of the gentler sides of life. A steel magnolia is a euphemism for a Southern woman(USA). Southern women have been for generations legendary for their strength and grace. The magnolia is a very large and beautiful evergreen that develops elegant and simply beautiful blooms the size of a dinner plate. The trees grow so large, that in the overdeveloped area of the South, there is no longer room for the beloved trees. In the next century and for generations to come we still need the icon of the Southern woman and her representation of all that is good, beautiful and right. We need her courage, her strength, and her sense of justice in our uncertain future. The rose is a hardy and adaptable bush that grows whereever it is planted and loved. Roses come in many shapes and colors, yet each one is uniquely beautiful. This is why I have chosen the icon of a steelrose. The Steelrose Garden is just that, a place where the gentleness of humanity can grow from the ground up.
